MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND DEPOT OF CONTAINER
COREMAS, for several years, has partnered some leading shipping companies in managing their empty containers. The need to take care, in the short term, of huge amounts of container, forced COREMAS to increase the number of specialized employees and to provide itself with software that would allow the company to more rapidly performs operations such as damage estimation, authorization, repair and billing. The handling of the units and trucks loading and unloading is performed by last generation vehicles able to place the container even in seventh row. The technical staff is divided into a group of carpenters and in a group of experienced reefer technicians. Each reefer container has to be revised through a rigorous pre - trip inspection in order to ensure a correct performance during the trip.

MONITORING
Full load reefer containers in transit, need to be temperature monitored, with a frequency of at least two times a day. This operation, very important because of the high commercial value of the perishable goods contained, is directly carried out by experienced COREMAS reefer technician. This matters because the reefer machines designed for shipping containers, have features slightly different from a normal cold room. Furthermore, these machines also differ among themselves according to the manufacturer. More detailed inspection, through the use of laptop computers, may be requested by anyone who is interested in the proper storage of the load. Using special and brand owned software, it is possible to set the controller to more accurately detect and record all data, such as temperature, alarms and other events that occurred during the trip, which may have affected the quality of the load.

COLD TREATMENT
To allow the importation of fruits and vegetables in the U.S., it is necessary to follow a series of bureaucratic procedures, including the Cold Treatment according to the standards of the USDA (U.S. Department of Agriculture) , although other countries have recently introduced treatment protocols on their imports of fruit and vegetable.
It is a phytosanitary procedure that ensures the elimination of the Mediterranean fly (Ceratitis capitata) through the use of three temperature probes, called "probes USDA" installed in the flesh of the product in three different areas inside the container and for different time intervals.
At the request of such treatment, COREMAS is required to followed detailed instructions, first of all, the connection of the USDA probes in the appropriate plug located inside the reefer container. Since then, the probes are recognized by the computer. Using a laptop, the operator is able to calibrate the probes through a reefer brand owned software and to set the beginning of the trip to be recorded. From now on, the recording of temperatures measured by the three probes, which will take place every hour, will be assigned to that particular trip. During the reefer container loading, the COREMAS technicians, still following the instructions given by the shipping company, will introduce the probes into the flesh of the product. The entire operation must take place with a representative of the Italian Ministry, which cooperates with the U.S. Department, certifying the quality of the operations performed.

REEFER CONTAINER PRODUCTION
For many years, COREMAS has been operating in support of companies who must integrally or partially perform their production process in temperature controlled environments. COREMAS has its own staff of designers and engineers skilled to feature cold rooms according to particular needs or requirements. The added value of this service can be recognized in the activity of providing, accurately, a range of technical details that should be always checked as elements that form part of the finished product and contribute to the formation of the final cost:
Design of the layout of the structure.
Design of supporting bases where necessary.
Study of the required temperatures and times of approaching
Issuance of certifications.

TRUCK & TRAILER
The long experience in the M&A of reefer machines has helped COREMAS to handle any type of cooling and temperature controlling system. The result of this evolution is the possibility perform the M&A service on different machinery such as trucks and mini vans.
